This is the most recent project completion. I don't think I'm done with that dress pattern yet...it's just so much fun to make! (If you're interested in the pattern location details, see my previous post.)And the boots...well, the boots are a hoot and I'll be making a few more pairs of those too! (Pattern details for boots also available in my previous post.) There seems to be a sudden influx of baby bumps in my world - so I'm having a blast creating little gifts for all the Mommies to be!

I would LOVE to use a few black beads in the making of the dress...in order to make the seeds...but I just don't see beads as being feasible with little ones, so I erred on the side of safety. As it is, I was worried about the buttons on the boots, but they're sewn quite securely and it's a newborn size...I don't think any newborn will have the dexterity to be pulling off the buttons...unless there's an older sibling...oh, Lord...now I'm worrying again!
Warm fuzzies to all of you who venture here to have a gander! Thanks for your great comments and numerous views on my last post! That rainbow bobble was quite popular! I even found it on Pinterest and I was so excited that someone pinned "meeeeeeee"!
amazing......Good for you for not just conquering the pattern once but twice!!
ReplyDeleteYour dress and booties are darling. We had the "baby bump" epidemic in our family a few months ago. Things have settled down for now. :-) Take care and happy crocheting. Heather

Hi, I've come from Pammy Sue's to get inspired and say hi. What darling dresses and booties! Your projects are lovely and what beautiful handiwork!! Think I'll pick-up my much neglected crochet project tonite. Thanks, I did get inspired.
ReplyDeleteOkay I totally agree on the guy who needs to be eliminated on AI. I was so glad the girl with the crazy Mom didn't get on, they were both a bit much for me. Have a wonderful Saturday Annette.

hello Annette! It has been awhile since I came to visit you and I can see that you have been one busy gal over here. The little watermelon dress and boots are darling, and I look back on you last several posts and see all kinds of pretties. I am working on a hex blanket and there seems to be no end to it at this point. I will be lucky to get this project done in another 2 months at the rate I am going. Have a great week.
