24 x 24

I'm having to use my iPad to write this post...a new adventure for me as I've always used my laptop in the past. But, the motherboard on said laptop FAILED earlier this week and it is off to HP for repairs (predicted to take 2 to 4 weeks).

This begs the question of all of you...do you have your photos and documents backed up? If you don't do it regularly, pleeeeeez start! Purchase a relatively inexpensive external mini drive and make it your practice to always...ALWAYS save everything there. You just never know when something can happen! And you'll be devastated if you lose things. The purchase of an external hard drive is invaluable.

So I have a ta-dah today. I plan to embellish it and haven't decided exactly what I want to do, but I wanted to share with you now that I've finished the main project. I used my sewing machine to finish the edges of the lining...so much better than hand sewing! I have such fun picking the lining materials!

Do you all remember the purses I made from the oversized granny square? I'd link to it but don't know how on this app! Anyway, I got thinking that the basic premise of that bag was to make a 24 inch square as the base. So I decided to do just that - and then follow and fudge the pattern as needed to stitch the sides and place the handle. And this is the result! I love it! I have yet another that I will probably share tomorrow as soon as I finish it up...it's almost done.

  2. You did a beautiful job. I love it! :)

Yeah, I use a thumb drive to hold my pictures and patterns. Our old computer got a worm and we lost everything...but we had backed it up before with one of those small drives you are talking about, so we had it there.

Always, always back up your stuff if you want to keep it! :)

Wishing you a lovely day.....hey, did you ever figure out how to take blogs off your list? You know the one's that don't have the follow buttons? If you have, please let me know how, too. :)
