My ongoing love of crochet has been more intense than usual in recent days. Not sure why. I have finished a couple of projects that were on the sidelines for a long time. One is something that is my own creation...I've written the pattern...and would like to take a stab at selling it. I need to puzzle through that whole notion.
In the meantime, I am sticking my toes back into the world of Tunisian crochet. I've started and ripped a few projects. I've purchased a Tunisian hook with a cable on the end of it - to allow for making a blanket or something with a lot of stitches cast on...but I kinda hate that cable! It twists and turns and I spend a lot of time fighting the hook and cable. Then I saw the double ended hook...allowing for the use of two different colors of yarn. I've started a project - and haven't ripped it yet, so, who knows...it might just make it to the status of "Finished Object"! But last night, I grabbed a regular crochet hook (N sized) and some thick yarn...chained 16 and then started the Tunisian basic stitch. It worked up quickly and is so soft and fluffy and lovely! Basic stitch is very simple - requires little attention - and lulls one into calm pretty quickly! I love the look of the texture it creates. Even the "wrong" side is pretty!
Next, I'm planning to venture into some other Tunisian stitch variations. Stay tuned.
